Fall is here and it’s a great time to spend a little dedicated time with your spouse or partner. Plan your next date night in Hancock County at one of these top spots for the best fall offerings. After the chaos of a quarantined summer and virtual learning this fall, you and your favorite person deserve a date night spent safely out together.

Tuttle Orchards

Their fall season activities are open Monday-Saturday until 7 p.m. through October 31. After that, the Sweet Shop & Cafe and farm store will be open Monday-Saturday until 6 p.m. With current limited capacity, you can make your reservations (required for Saturday visits in October) or learn more about seasonal offerings online

Daniel’s Vineyard

If you’re in the mood for some wine on your date night, look no further than Daniel’s Vineyard. Located at 9061 N 700 W in McCordsville, the vineyard is open 12-8 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 12-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy daily live music while you sip top-shelf wine or beer fireside this fall.

Daniel’s Vineyard offers even more than just alcohol, with delicious charcuterie boards, desserts, salads and wood-fired pizzas. Or share a flight with your sweetie for a self-guided tasting to find your new favorite vino.

Legacy Cinema

Go the traditional route with a movie date night at Legacy Cinema at 2347 West Main St in Greenfield. As one of the founding partners for the CinemaSafe pandemic initiative, you can plan on a fun and safe date at Legacy Cinema. Enjoy one of the latest flicks out now, or catch an old fall classic back in theatres for the season, such as “Hocus Pocus” or “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Greenfield Chocolates

Looking for a little finer dessert than what you’ll find in your kid’s trick-or-treat bucket? Stop by Greenfield Chocolates for award-winning handcrafted truffles, vegan specialties and more from Indiana Artisan chocolatiers Jayne Hoadley and Suzanne Litteral.

You can even reserve a Chocolate Experience for a very special date night of learning to make artisanal chocolate treats together. You’ll find the shop in downtown Greenfield at 15 West Main Street, open Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday 12-7 p.m. or Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Walking or Biking Date

If you and your partner like to be active together, why not take an evening walk or bike ride on one of the many excellent trails that run throughout Hancock County? Whether you spend time in one of our local parks, preserves or trails, getting some fresh air together (maybe with some local takeout) before the chill of winter is sure to be a memorable date night this fall.
