Okay, how do you play?

First, download the Goosechase app from your phone’s app store. Find directions on that here. Enter our unique join code: W88DX4 and then play. That’s it.

What are the scavenger hunt missions?

We’ve made it super easy to explore Hancock County, have fun this summer and win prizes!

  1. Explore a Hancock County park or splash pad
  2. Dine alfresco in Hancock County this summer (this includes ice cream)
  3. Visit the Hancock County Library (capturing yourself reading Hancock Health’s Boomerang magazine while there gets you bonus points)
  4. Enjoy a Hancock County summer adventure (think the fair, parades, events and festivals)
  5. Enjoy an outdoor summer concert in Hancock County
  6. Visit an outdoor Hancock County outdoor mural or James Whitcomb Riley on his bench
  7. Walk, hop or bike the Pennsy Trail

Bonus Points – Gateway Hancock Health’s Beary Special Clinic | It’s Time for a Check-Up

For bonus points, attend Gateway Hancock Health’s Beary Special Clinic | It’s Time for a Check-Up event on July 8, 2023. A free event for kids of all ages, where they will bring a favorite teddy bear, stuffie or doll to Gateway Hancock Health for a check-up and to learn how to care for these very important cuddly family members and how to keep them in beary good health all year long. What are the other details?

The overall summer scavenger hunt winner will be the participant with the most accumulated points via uploaded photos for all missions, plus answering the pop-up Hancock County trivia questions. However, there will be smaller prizes awarded weekly to players. A special prize is up for grabs for the Boomerang magazine library mission posts and for those that do the bonus mission at Gateway Hancock Health.

The game runs June 9, 2023 – July 31, 2023. Winners will be announced via the Goosechase app and social media.
