supporting a community.
Greenfield sits at the heart of Hancock County, the fifth healthiest community in the state of Indiana as of 2021. Greenfield can also be found among the top healthiest communities in the United States according to U.S. News & World Report. Our city’s dedication to providing a wide array of quality health care services has paid dividends for the health of residents.
Our health care facilities are able to compete with those usually found in larger communities, and can serve patients quickly, caringly and efficiently for a happier, healthier and more secure life.
WE’RE AN INDIANA HEALTHY COMMUNITY: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Hancock County joined the Indiana Healthy Communities (IHC) initiative in September 2016, alongside Delaware County, as the inaugural class of designees. As of now, there are seven Indiana Healthy Communities (typically connected to a local county) out of 92 total counties in the Hoosier state. Today, Hancock Health and the Healthy365 program continue to work closely with both local residents at the Wellness Council in order to maintain that status. Learn more on our blog about what it means to be an IHC.
